Google is bringing the Kormo Jobs android app to India to help the job seekers discover and apply for jobs across India. Kormo Jobs which was first introduced to Bangladesh in 2018 and later to Indonesia in 2019, has since grown into a job platform that can help job seekers and businesses of all sizes in multiple markets.
Last year Google gave a glimpse of Kormo Jobs in Indian market through a Job Spot section in Google Pay. This tool was specifically for entry level positions. Google claims that employers like Zomato and Dunzo have posted more than 20 lakhs verified jobs on the platform.
Now the Jobs Spot on Google Pay is being rebranded as Kormo Jobs and the company has launched a standalone app for it.
Kormo Jobs lets job seekers create their profiles and then apply from the list of recommended jobs on the basis of the profile created. The app also gives an option to create a digital CV by providing certain details that can be shared or printed through the app.
Kormo Jobs will be facing competition from already established jobs aggregator apps such as Naukri.com, Monster.com, Linkedin etc in Indian market.
