Apple new iPad 8th Gen starting at $329 now comes with Apple A12 Bionic Chip

Apple in its ‘Time Flies’ event has introduced its entry level iPad with an Apple A12 Bionic processor integrated into it. The new iPad 8th Gen is now said to be 40 percent faster than the previous generation iPad.

Price and Availability

The new iPad 8th Gen will be available in below 2 storage and connectivity variants:

  • Rs 29,900 for the 32GB WiFi model, Rs 41,900 for 32GB WiFi+Cellular model
  • Rs 37,900 for the 128GB WiFi model, Rs 49,900 for the 128GB WiFi+Cellular version

The new iPad 8th gen will be available in 3 color options: Silver, Space Grey and Gold. Availability starts this Friday, September 18th  in the USA. The availability in Indian markets is yet to be announced by the company.

The new iPad 8th Gen is now refreshed by Apple’s A12 Bionic Processor that the company claims can outperform today’s popular Windows laptops, Chromebooks and the most powerful Android tablets in the market. It comes with 10.2 inch LED backlit Retina Display with 2160 x 1620 pixels resolution. The display can go upto 500 nits of brightness levels. The 8MP rear camera and 1.2MP front camera is unchanged compared to the previous iPad generation. The physical home button with Touch ID is retained here.

The new iPad 8th Gen will come with Apple’s latest iPadOS 14 out of the box.
