Currently JioMart is serving in across 200+ cities in India and as per the description provided on app store they will be serving a minimum of 5% below MRP every day on shopping items.
Considering the number of smartphone users in India and present lockdown situations across various cities, an app will be helpful for customers to buy daily groceries through mobile apps rather than going on a website to order products. JioMart will be giving direct competition to various online home delivery services provided by Amazon, Flipkart, BigBasket etc.
During the Annual General Meeting, it was revealed that the first-time JioMart customers will get a complimentary COVID kit consisting of masks and hand sanitizers to curb the spread of the deadly coronavirus. Ambani also revealed that the Reliance-owned e-commerce platform delivers 250,000 orders a day and it also has plans to venture into electronics, fashion, and other categories in the near future.
The products at JioMart are way cheaper than Amazon, Flipkart, and even Zomato and Swiggy, who are currently delivering groceries across the country.
