Samsung begins mass production of its next gen 16GB LPDDR5 DRAM in Korea

 Samsung on Sunday has announced that they have commenced mass production of the industry’s first 16GB LPDDR5 mobile DRAM. The production has started at Samsung’s second production line in Pyeongtaek, Korea plant. Built on the company's 3rd-Gen 10nm-class (1z) process, the new 16GB LPDDR5 DRAM will offer faster data transfer and also pack more functionality into a slim design compared to its predecessor.
