MediaTek unveils Helio G25 and G35 chipsets which is aimed at budget gaming smartphones which can cost upto 10000 INR or less. This two chips offers similar specifications with very few minor differences.
Helio G35 is a 64-bit 12nm chip with Octa (8) cores clocked at 2.3 GHz. It can supports cameras upto 25MP (or dual 13MP+13MP) and can record videos at 1080p @30fps. The type of memory it can support is 6GB LPDDR4x with max frequency at 1600 MHz but it can support its cheaper LPDDR3 variety upto 4GB at 933 MHz.
The GPU is a PowerVR GE8320 from Imagination, running at 680MHz. MediaTek HyperEngine technology automatically intelligently adjust the CPU, GPU and memory according to real-time measurements of power, thermal and gameplay factors which offers smoother performance even in games with demanding action.
Helio G25 is having the same architecture. The CPU clock speed is brought down to 2.0 GHz and GPU to 650 MHz. A bigger difference is that the G35 supports 1080p+ displays while the G25 only upto 720p+. The G25 capabilities have been lowered to 21MP cameras (or dual 13+8MP) and can record videos at 1080p @30fps.
