Vodafone has announced support for eSIM facility for its Indian customers.
The first smartphone company to get this feature in India will be Apple. The full list of supported devices is:

Apple iPhone 11
Apple iPhone 11 Pro
Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max
Apple iPhone XS
Apple iPhone XS Max
Apple iPhone XR
After the first wave Samsung is reportedly to get this service for Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy Fold devices.
The switch to eSIM currently will only be available for Vodafone postpaid customers. There are steps required in order to switch which includes sending SMS to 199 and getting a QR Code.
New users have to visit the Vodafone store and store assistants will help them in getting the QR code and setting the devices.
Vodafone promised the newly activated SIM will start working within 2 hours.
This can allow iPhone users to use two SIM simultaneously in one device.
The service will first be available in three Indian cities – Mumbai, Delhi, Gujarat.
