Indian Army bans 89 Social Media apps for its personnel, includes Facebook, Instagram and more

Indian Army has asked all its Officers and Soldiers to immediately delete (not deactivate) their social media accounts such as Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Zoom, Truecaller, Reddit and more from their mobile phones by July 15.
This order is passed citing security consideration and leakage of sensitive data. Army said those who don’t follow this order will face strict action.
The list of 89 apps issued also include 59 Chinese apps who were recently banned by Indian Govt.
