LinkedIn introduces Stories to share your professional videos and photo for 24 hours

Microsoft owner professional networking platform LinkedIn has now introduced LinkedIn Stories. Stories will allow platform users to share photos and videos related to their professional life (similar to the Stories feature on Instagram). Such posts will last for the next 24 hours.

Users can either directly create a video through smartphone camera or can upload it from the gallery. Each video length is limited to 20 seconds. While posting users can also include different stickers or text and can mention other LinkedIn users with the ‘@’ tag.

How to post a Story on LinkedIn profile?

  • Open your LinkedIn app
  • Tap the circle with you photo
  • Tap the plus sign in the upper left corner to open the camera.
  • Either capture a photo/video directly or upload it through the phone’s gallery.

LinkedIn Stories is now available in the U.S. Canada, France, Australia, Brazil, Netherlands, and the UAE and it will be rolling this out to members globally soon.

LinkedIn is also soon going to add video call integration that will now allow users to start a video call over Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or BlueJeans by Verizon directly from LinkedIn messages.  To start a video call, users have to click on the video call option next to the conversation text box.

Company has also added an improved search experience and the ability to edit or delete messages, add others to an existing conversation, react to a message or Story with an emoji and many other enhancements to improve overall user experience.
