OPPO F35 Series Launching in India with 8,000mAh Battery

OPPO is marking the 10-year anniversary of its F-series in India with the official launch of the OPPO F35 series on October 5, 2026. The upcoming lineup, which includes the standard OPPO F35 5G and the premium OPPO F35 Pro 5G, aims to reset expectations in the premium mid-range segment by introducing an unprecedented battery capacity paired with high-end front-facing optics.

The company confirmed the OPPO F35 India launch date, signaling a strategic shift toward extreme battery endurance and specialized content creation hardware.

Battery and Charging Infrastructure

Both models in the F35 series are equipped with an 8,000mAh battery, a capacity previously reserved for rugged, niche industrial devices. This massive power reservoir is paired with 80W SuperVOOC fast charging to mitigate the prolonged charge times typically associated with high-capacity cells. OPPO is positioning this hardware combination as a direct solution for power-intensive workflows, long-duration mobile gaming, and continuous video recording.

This battery capacity mirrors recent developments in OPPO's broader portfolio, such as the hardware configuration seen on the OPPO K14 Plus, which also utilizes a high-density silicon-carbon battery design.

Under the Hood: Silicon and Performance

The internal hardware of the two models diverges to target different price points:

  • OPPO F35 Pro 5G: Google Play Console and Geekbench listings indicate the Pro model runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7360 chipset, marketed as the Dimensity 7360 Max. This octa-core platform is built on a power-efficient process node designed to sustain high performance without triggering thermal throttling.
  • OPPO F35 5G: The standard version is listed with the MediaTek Dimensity 6360 chipset, a more modest processor optimized for daily tasks, standard connectivity, and moderate power consumption.

Some early retail database listings present conflicting information regarding the Pro model's silicon. A few early leaks suggested the use of a Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 processor, though the benchmark listings on Geekbench strongly point to the MediaTek Dimensity 7360 Max as the final production choice.

Display and Durability Standards

Visual performance also highlights the distinction between the two variants:

  • OPPO F35 Pro 5G: Features a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED display. While some retail leaks point to a standard 120Hz refresh rate, industry reports suggest the display will support up to a 144Hz refresh rate, offering smoother transitions for gaming and system navigation.
  • OPPO F35 5G: Tipped to house a slightly smaller 6.57-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a standard 120Hz refresh rate.

Both devices are designed to withstand harsh environments, carrying IP68 and IP69/IP69K dust and water resistance ratings. These ingress protection ratings ensure the phones can survive high-pressure water jets and prolonged submersion. The series will run ColorOS 17 out of the box.

Optics: Dual Selfie Array and Rear Cameras

The front-facing camera array serves as a major differentiator for the F35 series. OPPO has integrated a 50MP ultra-wide selfie camera with a 100-degree field of view, utilizing NaturalTone 2.0 algorithms for accurate skin tone reproduction. On the Pro variant, this front-facing system supports full 4K video recording, matching the capabilities of the rear primary camera.

The rear camera configurations differ between the two models:

  • OPPO F35 Pro 5G: Employs a dual-camera setup consisting of a 50MP primary sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide lens.
  • OPPO F35 5G: Utilizes a 50MP primary sensor paired with a basic 2MP depth sensor for portrait assistance.

Pricing and Market Availability

Leaked pricing details indicate that OPPO intends to position these devices at the upper end of the mid-range market. The standard OPPO F35 5G is expected to start at Rs 37,999 for the base variant featuring 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The premium OPPO F35 Pro 5G is tipped to retail between Rs 44,000 and Rs 50,000 for the configuration with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
