Mi TV LUX: World first transparent panel OLED TV launched by Xiaomi

 

 

Xiaomi has become the first company to launch a TV with transparent display. Mi TV LUX Transparent Edition is the world’s first mass-produced transparent TV. Its price is set at RMB 49,999 (approx Rs 5,38,772) and official sales start at 10:00 on the morning of August 16 in China.


Unlike traditional TVs that come with a back panel, Mi TV LUX embeds all the processing units in its base stand. The screen is a 55” transparent OLED panel which features a 150000:1 static contrast ratio and infinite dynamic contrast ratio, offering extra rich blacks and unmatched brightness.TV also comes with a 120Hz refresh rate and 120Hz MEMC technology with 1ms fast screen response rate which also makes perfect choice for gamers.

TV runs on custom-made MIUI in which Home page, Settings, My App is specifically designed to better demonstrate the visual features and strength of the transparent screen. Users can also leverage the Always-on-display feature to set custom images and text on screen.

Mi TV LUX is equipped with an AI Master Smart Engine, along with the MediaTek 9650 custom made TV chip. There is support for Dolby Atmos to enrich audio listening experience.

Xiaomi has not shared the dates of Global release of MI TV LUX.
