CyberSecurity firm Pradeo has released a list of 6 android apps found to be infected with notorious Joker malware.

What is a Joker Malware

A malware is a kind of software or app that is installed on users devices without their knowledge. Once the software or app is installed on a device, they hide themselves and often run in the background. Talking about the Joker malware, Google has removed over 1700 apps infected with Joker (categorised as Fleeceware), from the Play Store since 2017. The Joker malware steals money from users by subscribing them to paid subscriptions without their consent. Its main activity is to simulate clicks and intercept SMS to subscribe to unwanted paid premium services.
