Samsung Galaxy M51 launched in India with 7000mAh battery and SD 730G SoC

 

The latest entrant in Indian smartphone market, Galaxy M51 is Samsung’s latest offering to its customers. The “meanest monster ever” smartphone is highlighted to have a massive 7000mAh battery. It is also packed with quad rear camera setup and center hole punch camera on its super-AMOLED display. The smartphone will be running on Android 10 with Samsung’s OneUI Core skin which is a cut down and streamlined version of OneUI. The Galaxy M51 will be facing direct competition from One Plus Nord and recently launched Vivo V19.

Price and Availability

Samsung Galaxy M51 price is set at Rs 24,999 for 6GB+128GB variant and Rs 26,999 for the 8GB+128GB variant. The sale will start at 12pm IST on September 18. The Galaxy M51 is available to be purchased from Amazon India, Samsung.com as well as select retails stores. The phone comes in Electric Blue and Celestial Black color options.

Galaxy M51 features and specifications

Samsung Galaxy M51 is powered by octa-core Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 730G SoC and is offered in two RAM and storage variants: 6GB+128GB and 8GB+128GB. Internal storage can be expanded upto 512GB via a dedicated microSD slot. The display is a big 6.7 inch Super AMOLED Plus Infinity O with 20:9 aspect ratio and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protections.

Galaxy M51 includes a quad-camera setup at the back with 64MP primary SOny IMX682 sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide angle sensor, a 5MP macro shooter and a 5MP depth sensor. On the front, it has a 32MP selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture, similar to Galaxy M31s. The fingerprint sensor is side-mounted and the phone also includes a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Samsung Galaxy M51 packs a huge 7000mAh battery charged via USB type-C and also supports 25W fast charging and reverse charging. Samsung claims that the battery can be charged from 0 to 100 in 115 minutes using the bundled charger.
